Our donation teams

We have dedicated regional tissue donation teams based around the UK who are responsible for ensuring tissues are donated safely in accordance with the wishes of our donors and their families.

Our donation programmes

We offer a Bone Donation During Surgery programme, whereby patients who are having hip replacement surgery can donate the bone they are having removed. Our dedicated and specialist regional tissue donation teams currently work with 23 hospitals to offer this.

In addition we offer a programme whereby new mothers can donate their placental amniotic membrane for use in eye surgery, also managed by our regional tissue donation teams.
