Charity Fund research
The NHS Blood and Transplant Charity Fund receives donations that can be used for any charitable purpose relating to the NHS, with a particular view toward improving blood, tissue and organ safety. A number of small projects have been funded through this system.
Those awarded funds must report their progress to the Charity Fund Committee on a regular basis. Research applications are subject to review by senior management research teams before submitting to the Charity Fund Committee.
