Donated from living donors during routine hip revisions. Frozen within 24 hours of donation. The femoral head is not processed nor cell /marrow depleted and has a minimum weight of 50g.

Fresh frozen irradiated femoral head

Donated from living donors during routine hip revisions. Frozen soon after donation. The femoral head is not processed nor cell / marrow depleted, has been sterilised with gamma irradiation and has a minimum weight of 50g.

Frozen washed irradiated (whole) femoral head

Donated from deceased tissue donors. The femoral head has been processed to remove soft tissue and washed to deplete cell and marrow content. It has been sterilized with gamma irradiation and has an approximate weight of 40g.

Frozen washed irradiated (half) femoral head

Donated from deceased tissue donors. The femoral head has been processed to remove soft tissue, washed to deplete cell and marrow content and cut in half longitudinially. It has been sterilized with gamma irradiation and has an approximate weight of 20g.
