For patients

Exploring the views of pregnant women and healthcare professionals on anaemia and taking iron tablets during pregnancy.

We are interested in the use of iron tablets to treat anaemia. We also would like to explore whether taking iron tablets to prevent anaemia, rather than just treat, could be beneficial.

This study is part of our research programme, funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), called Primary prevention of maternal Anaemia to avoid preterm Delivery and other Adverse outcomes, or PANDA for short.
