Below are some ideas on how you can get involved:

• Events and fundraising activities. Hold an event or organise a fundraising activity in aid of the Charity to mark an important time in your annual calendar, or to recognise an important date, for example National Blood Week or Organ Donation Week. Encourage colleagues to represent the Charity in organised events, for example a local marathon or an exciting challenge which takes them out of their comfort zone. Keep in touch to find out ways you can get involved in events we’re organising in or around National Blood Week or Organ Donation Week or other important dates in the calendar.
• Partner with us for payroll giving. Find our more about how we can work together to give your colleagues the chance to save lives through Give as you earn scheme (GAYE) and MicroHive (Pennies from your salary).
• Charity of the Year (COTY). Nominate us as your chosen charity so we can build a meaningful partnership with ambitious outcomes together.
• Volunteer with us. There are different ways you or your colleagues could get involved in supporting the Charity and the work of NHSBT in a voluntary capacity. We’re keen to hear about your organisation’s volunteer policy and how that may fit with what NHSBT aims to achieve through its volunteering opportunities.
• Sponsor an NHSBT event or scheme. Your company can show its support through becoming an official sponsor of events and activities including the inspirational annual NHSBT ‘Together’ Awards, which recognises the difference NHSBT staff, volunteers and partners make for patients, donors and donor families by celebrating and showcasing the incredible achievements and innovation in donation and transplantation across the UK.
• Gift in Kind. Your business can support through gifting a service or expertise, equipment or other items. If you would like to offer a service or something else you think would benefit the work of NHSBT, please complete a Gift in Kind Form or contact them team.
• Cause-related marketing. There are lots of great examples of effective Corporate-Charity partnerships. If you’d like to demonstrate your support for donation and make a difference for people who rely on transfusions or transplants by building a joint marketing campaign, get in touch.
• Innovation Circle. The Innovation Circle enables organisations and philanthropists to play an important role in something big and brilliant. United in a commitment to reducing health inequality and a desire to drive real change, philanthropists and social-minded organisations can now join the Innovation Circle, a group of dedicated supporters giving a minimum annual gift of £1,000 to support NHSBT’s innovation trials. With optional benefits including networking and participating in grants assessments, this provides innovative agencies and individuals the change to learn more about the latest developments in science and technology, meet the leaders in these fields, and be part of something special. The Innovation Circle has the potential to generate a step change in donation and transplantation.
• Innovation Lead Partner. Extraordinary developments are being made in the field of donation and transplantation thanks to NHSBT’s world leading scientists and partners. Your organisation now has the opportunity to spearhead the development of new treatments and lead the way in advancing technology by investing in NHSBT’s research programmes.
