Tendons
NHS Blood and Transplant provide a range of allograft tendon and ligament grafts. Bone-Tendon-Bone grafts (Patella), Bone-Tendon grafts (Achilles) and Tendon only grafts (hamstrings) are available as frozen grafts, either decontaminated or irradiated for additional safety. Patella tendon grafts with shaped bone blocks are available to minimise theatre time and enable athroscopic use. Cryopreserved meniscal allografts are also provided as a direct replacement for damaged meniscus.
