Patient and donor engagement
NHSBT is committed to working with patients, donors and their families to strengthen how we engage, listen and improve services together.
We have launched a Patient and Donor Engagement Programme, led by 2 independent external co-chairs working in collaboration with patients, donors, families and NHSBT colleagues from across the organisation.
This programme will:
- Understand what is already working well
- Identify gaps and opportunities
- Strengthen how patient and donor insight informs service improvement and decision making
This work will inform a new NHSBT Patient and Donor Engagement Policy and support a clearer, more consistent approach to listening to and working with patients, donors and families.
High quality patient and donor engagement will help NHSBT:
- Build trust in our services
- Improve patient, donor and family experience
- Design services that meet people's needs
- Ensure decisions are informed by lived experience
To help inform the new policy, we would like to hear from patients, donors and donor families before the surveys close on 27 July 2026. You do not need to have been involved in shaping NHSBT services before to take part.
Help shape how NHSBT works with patients, donors and families
