The Science Gap and PAT‑CAM

Thursday 19 March saw the launch of the Bloodlines campaign - a new partnership between NHSBT, The Science Gap and PAT‑CAM designed to make blood donation culturally relevant, socially rewarding and personally meaningful for young Black communities in the UK.

Bloodlines is a social‑first, always‑on, content‑led campaign that uses authentic stories, trusted creators and powerful visual storytelling to help close the gap between awareness and action. By building stronger connections with young Black audiences, the campaign aims to increase the number of Black heritage donors giving blood regularly - helping us meet the growing need for ethnically matched blood.

This work will also act as a bridge between communities and NHSBT, creating space for honest conversations, building trust, and showing the life‑saving impact of donation in a way that feels relevant and relatable.
