NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is proud to partner with the Royal Borough of Greenwich, a diverse community where nearly 50% of residents come from ethnic minority backgrounds.
With the support of Leader Cllr Anthony Okereke, who shared his personal experience with Sickle Cell, Greenwich has pledged to tackle health inequalities and support NHSBT in collecting better ethnically matched blood.
This partnership is part of our wider effort to increase blood, organ and plasma donors through local authority collaborations, ensuring more communities have access to lifesaving donations.
