Barclays
Barclays has been a valued and consistent partner for over 2 years, driven by a passionate group of employees who have championed blood donation alongside their day-to-day roles.
This dedicated community has helped embed blood donation into Barclays' workplace culture, making it visible, relevant and easy for colleagues to get involved. Through regular 'What's Your Blood Type' and general recruitment events at key office locations across the country, Barclays has mobilised its large workforce and is encouraging employees to register as donors and book appointments at local donor centres.
So far, this partnership has resulted in around 145 new blood donor registrations and 108 booked appointments, a powerful contribution to maintaining the nation's blood supply.
Barclays also continues to lead the way through its commitment to the Blood Donation Counter, consistently ranking number one among 40 participating companies. With 120 donations recorded to date, this alone has the potential to save or improve up to 360 lives, an outstanding achievement.
Beyond events and registrations, Barclays deepens engagement by hosting employee webinars where colleagues with personal or lived experience of blood or organ donation share their stories. These powerful moments bring the cause to life, inspire action, and encourage even more colleagues to register and donate, demonstrating the real strength of peer-to-peer advocacy.
