Saving lives together
The best workplaces give back.
Our partnerships are vital to our work, each one is unique and allows us to develop long term activity at both a regional and national level across England. From Disney to the Home Office to Dalgety Teas, our partnerships reach millions of people each year and increase the number of blood and organ donors to save and improve lives across the country.

Every day blood and organs are needed to save and transform lives. Blood is used in life-threatening emergencies, to combat cancer, fight sickle cell or provide lifesaving medicines to help babies' hearts to continue to beat.
The NHS requires approximately 5,000 units of blood daily to meet the needs of patients and with a shelf life of just 35 days, stocks need to be constantly replenished. Blood is needed every day and we need need for existing donors to keep donating, as well as new O negative donors and donors of Black heritage to come forward.

Thousands of lives in the UK are saved or transformed each year by organ transplants. But despite this amazing work, someone dies every day in the UK waiting for an organ transplant, because there just aren't enough organ donors.
Organs are matched by blood group and tissue type, and people from the same ethnic background are more likely to be a suitable match Unfortunately, the shortage of organ donors from different backgrounds means that some people might wait longer for a transplant. We need more people to register their decision on the Organ Donor Register. Registering your decision is quick and easy and one person can save up to 9 lives as an organ donor.
