Encourage schools to use our teaching resources

Help us to educate young people about blood, organ and stem cell donation

Many campaigners and supporters get in touch with NHS Blood and Transplant to ask what they can do to promote donation in their local area.

One thing that you can do is help encourage schools in your area to use our free curriculum-linked donation teaching resources in their classrooms.

Our teaching resources

Working in collaboration with Anthony Nolan and with the support of practising teachers, we have developed free curriculum-linked resources for secondary school teachers to educate Key Stage 3 and 4 students (ages 11-16) about blood, organ and stem cell donation.

The resources have been designed to enable students to understand the importance of donation for individuals and society, and to empower them so they can make informed choices.

We have produced a template letter, that you can amend or adapt, to send to schools in your area to encourage them to incorporate the teaching resources into their lesson planning. You could also send it to education leads in your local councils.
