Assistant Director - Health, Safety and Wellbeing

We’re delighted to announce that once again we've been accredited with OHSAS 18001

OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Standard) sets out the requirements for health and safety standards in the workplace.   Our re-accreditation is evidence that the safety and wellbeing of our staff, donors and patients has always been a top priority for us.

We work hard to keep everyone safe, and our teams maintain meticulous standards to ensure we’re not just staying within the guidelines, we’re exceeding them wherever possible. It’s a real team effort, and one that ensures our dedicated people are working in an environment that reflects just how much we value them.

Proving that the systems we’ve put in place are working well, this award is typically something that large private organisations hold, and to date, no other NHS organisations have achieved it. Which is hardly surprising when you consider that we had 16 sites sampled over a three-year period!

Health and safety team
We are proud of this achievement and of our employees' ongoing commitment to this fantastic quality standard.

This work, and the safety systems our teams adhere to,  mean that we can continue to save thousands of lives, without putting anyone at unnecessary risk.

We’re always focused on improving, and we’ll always prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our staff, donors and patients.

So, whether you’re an existing employee, or you’re thinking of joining us, we want you to know that we will ensure your health

This re-certification shows that we’re a proactive organisation that really cares about individuals and staff and is reflective of the incredible workforce we have.
