Your information is very important to us

If you enroll as a blood or a potential organ donor, we will need to hold some information about you. We will also hold information about you if you receive an organ transplant, or if we perform laboratory tests or give advice for your hospital or GP.

NHSBT is committed to protecting this information and maintaining our compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The Act controls the way in which we use your personal information, including how it is obtained, recorded, held, used, shared and disposed of.

The NHSBT Information Charter provides information about what information we hold, how we use this information and most importantly how we protect it.
